About
A History of Compassion and Support
On April 6th, 1984 our first office opened in Harvard Square with a simple goal in mind: To help individuals make informed decisions about unplanned pregnancies, and to provide support after those decisions were made. Since the beginning, we have served a diverse clientele in a wide variety of situations and circumstances. From those first days, our volunteers, donors, and board members have been indispensable to our work.
In 2015, we relocated our office to its current location on Lincoln Street in Boston. Over these past few years in our new location, we have expanded our services and changed the name to the to be clearer about our mission to help individuals make informed choices about unplanned pregnancies.
We currently offer pregnancy tests and ultrasound referrals, options counseling in person and via hotline, parenting training programs, mentoring programs and a Baby Boutique to meet material needs. We also provide abortion recovery healing for men and women.
In September of 2022 we opened our Springwater after abortion healing center in Quincy.

Cynthia Brathwaite
Director
Cynthia Brathwaite is an ordained minister and serves as the pastor at Promise Worship Center in Braintree. She is an author, speaker, poet, and songwriter. Her latest book, “If God Has Not Disqualified You, Do Not Disqualify Yourself,” inspires you to see yourself as God sees you, and to claim victory over insecurity, fear, low self-esteem, and the likes. She is also the speaker on the Radio Program “For Such A Time as This” that is aired on
several radio stations in the U.S.
Emerson L. Allen
Director
Emerson is a student at Harvard Law School and an alumna of Liberty University. Prior to law school, she served as the Chief Operating Officer of a nonprofit that provides free academic tutoring to K–12 students. In this role, she discovered her passion for client-centered service and developed a
strong interest in nonprofit leadership.
Emerson first became involved in the pro-life movement as a college student, when she volunteered at a pregnancy resource center in her hometown. During this time, she was deeply impacted by the courage of the women she met who wanted to choose life for their children despite painfully difficult circumstances. She came away convinced that the best way to address abortion is through the practical, compassionate support that PRCs provide.
Now, as a law student and a member of the Boston community, Emerson is honored to support the Boston Pregnancy Center and hopes to magnify the glory of Christ through this work.

Catherine “Ki” Morrissey
Secretary
Catherine “Ki” Morrissey is a wife, mother and grandmother. She was raised on the South Shore of Massachusetts and received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Law from the University of Massachusetts Boston, Massachusetts. While in college, she faced an unplanned pregnancy and was faced with a difficult choice. Should she have the child or abort? She leaned on the faith of her childhood as never before and decided to take a leap of faith with Jesus. She chose to have the baby, placed him for adoption, and through the saving grace of God, she later reunited with the child she prayed for daily.
She hopes to inspire others through her pro-life ministry as a pro-life speaker and adoption advocate. Since 2005, Ki Morrissey has spoken to audiences large and small; reaching thousands of people through talks at various Life events throughout the Archdiocese of Boston, Women’s Cursillo Retreats, Confirmation classes, Massachusetts Citizen for Life events, and MCI Framingham Prison for Women. She has spoken at the Pope St. John XXIII Seminary, Weston, Mass, and was interviewed for the radio show, Life Matters, on the Boston Neighborhood Network.
She was a featured speaker at the 2019 pro-life event called “Night4Life” in Quincy, Massachusetts, as well as the 2021 Boston Marian Conference. She joined the Board of Boston Pregnancy Center, Boston, MA. as of March, 2023. She hopes to promote the supportive and healing mission of
BPC to all those she encounters.
